Chocolate and Your Heart

Chocolate lovers, listen up! Have I got some good news!

Like many of you, I have this totally massive addiction to chocolate. It used to make me feel guilty, because I’ve always been told that chocolate is bad for you.
Would you believe that this is not true?

For real…I found an article in the health section of CNN.com that talked about the Harvard University School of Public Health doing 136 studies on coco, which is the foundation of chocolate, and--along with Mary B. Engler, Ph.D, chocolate researcher, (what a job!) and director of the School of Nursing of the Cardiovascular and Genomics Graduate Program at the University of California in San Francisco--discovered that coco boost heart health by increasing blood flow, causing less platelet stickiness and clotting. Coco also improves bad cholesterol. Coco’s antioxidant chemicals, called flavonoids, seem also to prevent cell damage and inflammation.

What about that? Is it not the best news you have ever heard? No more do we chocoholics have to feel guilty about our love for the delicious elixir we so adore.
This calls for a celebration!

Talk to you later. I need to run out and stock up on some heart-healthy, yummy, yummy chocolate.

Bundle.Com

I have been applying for writing and blogging jobs over the last few weeks. Yesterday I ran across a new site looking for writers, but the reason I am posting about it here is that everyone who struggles with personal finance should know about it!

The site is called Bundle.Com and it is like nothing you have ever seen before. It is an interactive site with an open forum to discuss money and all of its variables. You can compare cost of living across the country, compare your own spending to others by clicking on the bubbles, talk to others about your financial challenges, get advice, give advice, it's just plain awesome!

I Am Using 1800Flowers for Valentine's Day!

The landscape of Valentine's Day has changed over the last few years. I remember when I was young, Valentine's Day was really not a very big deal. We exchanged funky little cards at school, and my dad MIGHT by my mother a card if she was lucky. But now, Valentine's Day has become a major holiday, and not just for lovers.

I am joining the trend this year and sending Valentine's gifts to family and friends. For a few of those very special to me I will be ordering from 1800Flowers, where they have gifts and flowers you can order online. They even have same day service!

1800Flowers has made one heck of a splash in the world of flowers and of gift giving. MSNBC recently singled out 1800flowers for their greater pricing transparency and more honest pricing polices than their competition.

And for those of you who are fans of the Twilight series and all things Twilight, you can impress your true love this Valentine's Day by sending them a big bouquet of roses!

Check out the offers for these Twilight Valentines Day Flowers, and surprise your favorite vampire this weekend!

So I have around 40 years of both business and personal advice to offer for professional women, single moms, and on relationships.

Will You Get Your True Love Flowers for Valentine's Day?

Here is a shout out to all those guys getting ready to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 7th. Yes, we women realize how important this game is to you, just as you should realize how important getting flowers is to a woman.

Take the excitement you feel about the New Orleans Saints being in the Super Bowl for the first time and imagine that same kind of excitement your true love will experience when you send her flowers for Valentine's Day next Sunday!

Flowers, for as long as time has existed, have been the best way to impress a woman with how much she is loved. And never before have flowers been less expensive, so don't make excuses that you can't afford them. How much are you spending on your Super Bowl party today? Think about it, Dudes, and get with the program.

It doesn't matter to most women what kind of flowers you get her, she will just be happy to know how much you care and that you went to the trouble to have flowers delivered to her on Valentine's Day. Women love that! Get her roses, or a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers, the thought is what counts, and we're not talking about a card, Men! Flowers, flowers, flowers, that is the ticket!

Ok, so now that you have been notified, have fun watching the Super Bowl game today. Good luck to the Saints and also to the Colts. This should prove to be a VERY interesting football game. It's just too bad that the Cowboys aren't there. :(
